Newly born, colour coded and all cosy in the sun! Mum doing incredibly well.

Babies now have their eyes open and are becoming playful...

We are so excited with our new babies.  Growing quickly and investigating the world they are a stylish and playful group with delightful friendly personalities.  Being exposed now to all sorts of sites and sounds including new surfaces, the outdoors,  lots of car rides, grooming and other animals and small children.  A focus on Early Neurological Stimulation and Puppy Culture will help these precious ones grow up to be the best they possibly can.

Our Next Planned Litter is not until 2023.

So proud of our babies at 7 weeks of age out socialising and having a great time at their photo shoot.

ALL ARRIVED SAFELY AND FEEDING.

Colour Coded and Easily Identified from each other.
It is very exciting times updating families who have been waiting for a pup - some have waited now for over a year.  As each life enters the world I can't help but wonder which person will best match which puppy.  I spend 24/7 with my pups for the first couple of weeks.  They are in my lounge room area and I am sleeping on the floor to make sure they are all safe and sound and feeding on a regular basis through the night.  Heating pad and hot water bottles helping to keep the temperature right.

Precious Asleep and Warm - She sleeps while I set an alarm to check every 2 hours for the first 3 nights.
Pups are all weighed at birth and have a ribbon to identify them from their siblings.  Daily weight records, monitoring and Neurological Stimulation Exercises from Day 3-16 all made easier with this colour coding method.  Its amazing how early little traits and personality differences can be noticed when keeping such a close eye on who is who.

Pups are both blind and deaf for approximately the first 14 days

I make sure to spend time with each puppy as an individual each day from early in their life to ensure they are use to one on one attention and stimulation from the outside world.

Puppies are as highly socialised as possible at the appropriate age in line with the concepts you can read about in the book by Dr. Ian Dunbar called Before and After Getting Your Puppy.

All visitors are asked to follow very strict protocol in regards to hygiene so as to ensure the puppies health is as best protected as possible.

Men Women and Children are all important for puppies to have contact with during their early socialisation phase.

Growing Quickly 5 weeks of Age Now

PUPPIES AT 5 WEEKS OF AGE...SPENDING TIME IN THE OUTSIDE WORLD

Pups have already been getting some clipping, nails trimmed regularly, exposure to grooming table and the sound of dryers all in readiness for being groomed throughout their lives.  They have been spending some of the daytime outside in a section of undercover grooming room that is opening out onto a concrete fenced run helping them to learn to move away from their bed to toilet themselves and giving them experience of sounds and sight that come with being outdoors.  They have two crates in their outdoor area with doors currently removed so that they can seek solace and come and go from the crate as they please.  Feeding of puppies will soon take place in a crate for some meals to further encourage their use of them.  Positive crate training can help prepare puppies for travel, especially if you plan on your puppy travelling in a crate in the car or by plane.  When puppy finally does visit the vets to be desexed they will not be stressed if they have spent time crated.  Puppies are spending some of their afternoon time out on the grass under the palm trees becoming accustomed to the feeling of multiple surfaces under their feet. Puppies are being walked back from that area to their outdoor room with the positive encouragement of meal time dishes clanking together, calling them back.  It will be time to start practising stepping up and down from a table flat on the groom room floor, to prepare them for steps.

SPENDING TIME IN A PLAY PEN

Puppies have been receiving one on one time since birth, not far away from their litter mates and mother in the beginning.  The use of Neurological Stimulation (as used and research by the USA Military) along with other types of normal contact has been a great focus of mine.  I have put time into each puppy as if it were going to be my own.  I am convinced that the more experiences, circumstances and situations - all provided with care, love and a positive environment that these puppies receive from early on the better the end result.  I hope to provide each puppy with it's best chance of experiencing the world as a bright and happy place..... preparing each one to be a well adjusted individual for their future Forever Home! Now that they are getting a little older each puppy is receiving short periods of time away from it's litter mates having cuddles and play and the opportunity to be an individual.

PLAYING WITH TOYS AND PLAYING WITH EACH OTHER

A QUICK TOP UP BUT PUPPIES ARE NOW EATING SOLID FOOD ALSO

Puppies are being fed on Premium Quality Kibble and Beef Mince, shortly chicken wings will be introduced so they can start to learn to chew and be supervised before going to their new homes.  Mum is slowly starting to feed puppies less and less but is playing with them more and more.  Nature is amazing!

Hard to Believe it was only a few short weeks ago and their eyes and ears were still closed
